Be the best that you can be. How often have we heard this statement? Throughout our lives we have to choose who we will be. What kind of impact will we have on the world. What kind of person are we portraying?
Matthew 5:5 MSG
"You’re blessed when you’re content with just who you are—no more, no less. That’s the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can’t be bought." The lesson Jesus is teaching in Matthew 5:5 is about being who we were created to be by the Father. Each of us is designed to be special. Specifically you. Your height, eye color and all the individual nuances about you are exactly right for you. You are precisely who you are supposed to be. Unique and spectacular in your own special way. You impact the world in a way that others can not. Your voice is significant and chosen as an instrument of change. The God borne fruit of the Spirit that resides in you is uniquely yours. Your perception of the world is designed in a way that offers you a unique way of looking at life's possibilities and lessons. Your own experiences have helped you reach others along life's journey. You. Specifically and uniquely you. Designed by the most amazing hands possible into the perfect you. No more and no less. Individual and unique. Specifically and uniquely you. You can't get any better than that. Fearfully and wonderfully made is the way God describes each of us. Who we are is amazingly beautiful and special to God. That's what our outlook about ourselves should be. When we finally get there, when we can see ourselves as specifically and uniquely created, that is the moment when we can choose to be content with who we are. Content and blessed to be everything we are designed to be on purpose.
