Psalm 19:12 NLT "How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart? Cleanse me from these hidden faults." Hidden and unnoticed. Yep, we all have things that we aren't aware of. Things that are hidden from our perspective. Things that need to be cleaned up, but we are unaware of the issue. The fault is hidden from our perspective. Other people may try to point the issue out, but we can't see it. Our defense mechanisms are not working in this area. Our hearts may be in the right place, but our hearts aren't even aware of it's own inability. Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:7 (NLT) to “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you." Asking the Holy Spirit to reveal our hidden and unseen faults may be challenging. Change is hard, but the best way through something difficult, is right through it. Head up, eyes open, and one foot in front of the other. Seek, ask and knock. That's what Jesus tells us. Revival begins within each one of us. May the deadwood in our lives become the kindling fodder for a revival fire within each one of us.
