Happy New Year! 2017 is behind us. Done. Complete. Fin'e. 2018 is here, but we realize that we still have stuff to finish. Things that we have put off or haven't had the time to get done. Life has gotten in the way or we've just plain procrastinated our way into getting nothing done. Well, I have great news for you. There's still time. 2 Corinthians 8:10-12 MSG "So here’s what I think: The best thing you can do right now is to finish what you started last year and not let those good intentions grow stale. Your heart’s been in the right place all along. You’ve got what it takes to finish it up, so go to it. Once the commitment is clear, you do what you can, not what you can’t. The heart regulates the hands." Finish. Don't let those good intentions grow stale. We had the idea, the desire to see it through, now we have to get it done. Effort. We have to make the effort to finish. We've got what it takes to finish it up, we just have to do it. If we've realized we need help, get it. Maybe we need another tool, get it. If we need to learn a new skill, find a teacher. Perhaps you've done all you can, and it's time to pass the torch. Pass it. Don't let inspiration die a slow, unsustainable death just because we just didn't make the time to get it done. Our heart regulates our hands. That's a great way to remind ourselves to pick up the things that we have put down. If our heart is given a vision, an idea or a concept, we should do what WE can do to see it through. Don't give up. See it through all the way to done. Don't let your good intentions grow stale. Instead of letting it get you down, just get it done. There's still time.
