Just today, a friend reached out for prayer for a sick family member. Another for a celebration of thanksgiving on a new job. Another for illness that is running the gambit in their home. Another joyfully celebrating an accomplishment. Another as they are undertaking a new project. Prayer is a good thing. Praying for one another is essential; to reach out in thankfulness and in faith. God hears our prayers and instructs us to pray for one another. Ephesians 6:18 MSG "Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out." This connection with one another is one of the reasons God places us into each other’s lives. We are to be a shoulder to share our burdens with one another. We are connected to cry out for others when they have no words. We should be available to lift one another up. We are connected to share the joys and the triumphs as well as the struggles and the challenges. We are connected with one another. We are connected through the love of Christ for just such a time in one another’s lives. Jesus assures us that ‘Where two or more are gathered, I am there also’. Connected. Our faith connects each of us together through the love of Jesus.
