Waiting is hard. I can attest to the tiredness that comes from waiting. Your entire body becomes included in the frustration of the waiting game. You cross and cross your legs. You sit awhile, you stand awhile and you walk around awhile; only to repeat this process over and over again. Tired doesn’t come close to describing the way we feel. Waiting is hard, except for the encouragement of the finish line. That’s why we wait. Psalms 27:14 NLT “Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Whenever we are in a waiting period, we just have to wait. God has a plan and a purpose for our future, yet we are occasionally called to be still. When we are placed into a holding pattern, we have to respect the fact that we are waiting for a reason. The important thing is to not let frustration to allow you run ahead of God. There’s nothing else we should do, can do, or ought to do; except patiently wait. Wait. Yes, waiting can be fraught with frustration, but God’s strength is there. Yes, waiting can challenge our emotions and energies, but God’s courage is there. Waiting is hard, yet God asks us to persevere patiently. God is able and will see us through the waiting. Waiting patiently on God is the best move we could ever make.
