Gosh, I’ve been there. Upset doesn’t seem to cover the definition of this type of thing. Feelings of anxiety, fear, frustration and anger, all blending together into one giant case of ‘beside myself’, yet the answer was God. The answer is always God. Psalm 94:16-19 MSG “Who stood up for me against the wicked? Who took my side against evil workers? If GOD hadn’t been there for me, I never would have made it. The minute I said, “I’m slipping, I’m falling,” your love, GOD, took hold and held me fast. When I was upset and beside myself, you calmed me down and cheered me up.” God’s timing, God’s plans, and God’s answers; they’re not just words. When we are in the middle of a storm we can become overwhelmed by our feelings, becoming part of the storm itself. When we are able to step back, talk to God, and find His peace, the storm will quiet. Call out to God. ‘I’m slipping, I’m falling,’ and GOD’s love will take hold of us and hold us tight. We can get through the storm and we can find the calm again. When we rely on God’s presence, we are always in the presence of joy. Joy is revealed when we look to God.
