When things are going great, it’s not difficult to praise the name of the Lord. Hallelujah and Thank You God flow easily from our lips. When the ground beneath our feet is feeling less than sure; that’s when we really need to get our praise on. Psalm 105:1 MSG “Hallelujah! Thank GOD! Pray to him by name! Tell everyone you meet what he has done!” As I visited with someone who was in the hospital today, the Lord’s encouragement included encouraging ourselves. When we are discouraged, we need to encourage ourselves in the Lord. Seek God’s presence in our hearts, minds and spirit. Telling God how grateful we are for the blessings of His love. Telling God how much He means to our lives. Tell Him and those we meet about the joys found in His peace.
Encouraging someone else gives us encouragement and more. Praise Him through the words of affirmation and positivity that we speak to ourselves and others. Praise Him by remaining a beacon of light that penetrates the dark moments. Discover the road to encouragement by encouraging ourselves in the Lord.
Our firm foundation is always under our feet, when we have Jesus in our hearts. Encourage yourself in the Lord. Hallelujah! Thank You God!
