Who Am I?

Who am I? What is my purpose? This is a question we all ask ourselves eventually. What am I doing here? What was I created to do? Tough questions.

We sift through the things in our lives and wonder what it is we are meant to do? Was it for that moment? Or maybe it was for that season. Maybe I haven't done it yet. It's a conundrum. Critical thinking, scientific evidence and mathematics simply do not compute to answer our purpose.

God ways are not our ways (Isaiah 55:8). Today's science, math and all the other indicators won't work. Then what are we left with? When all other explanations have been exhausted we are left with faith. Believing the unexplainable is possible. God loves me. There is no rhyme or reason to it. There is nothing else but His love. Here's a thought. God loves me, so maybe I ought to give it a try myself. Love me. Love myself for who I am. Like hanging out with me. Enjoy spending time with me. Just be happy to be me.

Am I content with being me? Today. Not yesterday's me, but today's me. Tomorrow isn't here yet, so I don't need to worry about that me. Today. Am I content with me today?

Here's the conundrum. Can I let go of yesterday's me and all the things I didn't do? Can I forgive yesterday's me for the mistakes I made? Can I let go of the junk I carry around and be content to be me? Can I stop trying to be someone or something I'm not and just be content to be me?

Jesus tells us that we are blessed when we are content with who we are. Answer that question and find out the age old question. Who am I? Am I content to be me?

Matthew 5:5

“You’re blessed when you’re content with just who you are—no more, no less. That’s the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can’t be bought."
