Steadily and Deeply
Where would we be without Jesus? We are each born into sin; with the ability to do the wrong thing, make unwise choices and bad decisions. Since the first people, Adam and Eve, made that fatefully bad decision, each of us have been in the same boat. Just like Adam and Eve we are born into sin; outside of a relationship with God.
1 John 4: 13-16 MSG
"This is how we know we’re living steadily and deeply in him, and he in us: He’s given us life from his life, from his very own Spirit. Also, we’ve seen for ourselves and continue to state openly that the Father sent his Son as Savior of the world. Everyone who confesses that Jesus is God’s Son participates continuously in an intimate relationship with God. We know it so well, we’ve embraced it heart and soul, this love that comes from God."
Jesus came to this earth and died so that we could, again, be in relationship with God. His life, death and resurrection made it possible for us to walk in relationship with God.
After His resurrection, Jesus sent us a companion, a counselor, in the person of The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is God, walking in relationship with us. Talking to us, guiding us and it is through Jesus that we have gained that relationship. Living our everyday lives, walking in relationship with God.
We can now live steadily and love deeply, because we are His and we are embraced by His love. We are steadily and deeply loved by Jesus.
