Expect and Anticipate
When we are feeling hemmed in with trouble, expect. Whatever it is we are going through, anticipate. Stay alert for whatever God is going to do next, because there is so much more to come. Romans 5:3-5 MSG “There’s more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit!” These words of encouragement come to us directly from the Lord. Stay alert. Expect and anticipate the next move of God, because He never leaves us shortchanged. We couldn’t possibly hold all of the extravagant love that God holds for us. God generously pours out His Blessings into our lives through the Holy Spirit. Anticipate it. Expect it. When we are feeling unexpected pressures, expect God’s promises. Hold on to His promises, and expect that whatever God’s going to do next will be better than we could ever have anticipated.
