It's All Relative
I did one of those ‘words you use most’ compilations and my top word was beautiful, followed closely by today and lovely. That was the beginning of a thoughtful journey into my everyday life. Most days are pretty good, then there are the days that could have been better. Some days are slow and easy, while other days are fast paced and stressful. Yep, I too deal with the tough stuff and muddle through the dull stuff. My choices aren’t always lovely or beautiful. <sigh> Beautiful and lovely are relative. Relative to what? It’s all relative to Grace. Aren’t we thankful that we are relative to Grace. <Big Smile>
Philippians 4:23 MSG “Receive and experience the amazing grace of the Master, Jesus Christ, deep, deep within yourselves.” Grace isn’t earned or rewarded based on our behavior or displaced by our faults. Grace is a gift. Grace is gifted to us because of the love of Jesus. God loves us so much that He sent us Jesus. When we believe in Jesus we are gifted with Grace and His Grace is lovely and beautiful and it is for today. The Grace that is found in Jesus is an unmerited grace that transforms us. His Grace is an undeserving grace that fills us with hope for tomorrow. The Grace of Jesus is an amazing love so vast that it spans time and space. It is the Grace of Jesus that is truly beautiful and lovely, and so very relevant for all of our today's.
