Just Get Up and Move
I woke up in the middle of the night from a dream. It was one of those dreams that was very detailed. It felt like it had a story that was important somehow. In that moment when I woke up, I felt like I should get up and write it all down, but I talked myself out of it. I thought it was so very clear that I would remember every detail. You guessed it! I didn’t. Yep. I should have listened to that nudge from the Holy Spirit, but I I didn’t. I stayed right there in my comfortable bed and went back to sleep. Proverbs 8:33 NLT “Listen to my instruction and be wise. Don’t ignore it.” We are often led by the Holy Spirit to make a decision, to do something, and yet we choose to do something else. We hear the instructions, but we brush it off as silly or inconsequential. Me included. Ugh! I can’t remember that dream now for the life of me. I regret that decision, and I wish I’d have chosen to listen and just get up and move out of my comfortable bed. We are all doing our best, yet we can still miss the mark. Moving out of our comfort zone can be a difficult decision, but listening is definitely the wiser decision. When the Holy Spirit gives us a nudge, we have a choice to make. We can listen and then choose to ignore Him, or we can listen and choose to do what He says. We really should just do it. We should just get up and move, even when that means we have to move out of our comfort zone. Doing what God says is the best decision we could ever make.
