Tag You’re It
We’ve had a stomach bug running around tagging people in our family. Bugs are random and invisible, yet they can cause trouble wherever they land. Bugs have a cloak of invisibility that affords them to tag us before we are even aware that we have been in the vicinity. Tag you’re it. Proverbs 22:25 MSG “Bad temper is contagious— don’t get infected.” Just like that invisible stomach bug, we can pick up bad habits just as easily. ‘A bad temper is contagious— don’t get infected.’ We must be alert to the possibility that we are all subject to the influence of the bad habits of this world. Anger, rudeness, gossip, cheating, greed, pride and their lot can be just as unassuming as that bug. Just as we wash our hands to remove the stomach bugs influence, we must wash our minds to remove the worlds influence. Spending time with the Lord cleanses us and helps us fill up with His characteristics. Spending time with Jesus means that our fruit basket of love is fully stocked and we can be a positive influence on the world we live in. Tag you’re it.
