As I sit still, looking at a blank screen, I am waiting. I am waiting for The Holy Spirit to open my heart to hear what He wants me to share. Each and every day I wait. I sit quietly and wait. Sometimes the words flow first thing in the morning. Sometimes it’s mid afternoon. Most often it’s early evening and occasionally it can be very, very late. Yet, it’s never too late, so I wait. I wait upon the Lord. Psalms 46:10 NLT “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” Being still and listening with our hearts is always a good idea. Yes, waiting can be hard. Waiting can even be considered difficult when we have been waiting for what may seem a very long time. Consider that friend who has been waiting for a job. Consider that friend who is waiting for a spouse. Consider that friend who is waiting for a miracle. Consider that friend who is waiting for that promise to unfurl. God’s got plans for us. His plans are for our good and for goodness sake. Unfurling that plan may mean we must be still for a time. We must be still and know that God is at work, unfurling that very good plan. In the meantime we must trust, be still and listen with our hearts. Be still and listen; and we will hear God’s heart unfurling His plan.
