It was a blur of a day. One appointment after another, culminating in an unexpected trip to the county fair. A friend of a friend was generous with the gift of surprise tickets and off we went. My great feat was riding on the carousel, while my husband was the superstar of the evening. He participated in every ride a twelve year old boy could possibly enjoy. Thankfully he has an iron stomach and the will to be able to turn the evenings adventure into a memory that will last a lifetime. Colossians 3:15 MSG "Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness." And cultivate thankfulness. Thankfulness, even in the little things is a big deal. Having that person in your life who is willing to go the extra mile is one. All the little things that we might not think of on a daily basis; our friends and family, shelter, food and clothing, the ability to be generous with our time, our talents and our treasures, and that one person who stands out in that critical area or at just the right moment. The list could go on and on. Areas in our lives that we might take for granted on a regular basis, yet we need to remember to be thankful for all these little parts of ours lives, because each of these blessings makes our big picture so very beautiful. Thank God because it is through His generosity that we are blessed beyond our understanding; blessed in the little things that make our lives so very extraordinarily unique and meaningful. Thankfulness is a big deal. Remember to thank God in all the little moments too. Cultivate thankfulness.
