More and Better
School plays are so much fun. As we watch the play, we can see the drama unfolding before our eyes. When we see plays, dramas on television, and in the movies, we may even be able to anticipate the next move of the players. Dramatic effects in these genres are expected and even anticipated. On the other hand, drama in real life can be the pits. The world at large may expect and even anticipate the next 'drama', but we are seeking so much more. We are seeking more and better. We are seeking peace, hope, joy, happiness, contentment, comfort, health, restoration, prosperity, learning, justice, reconciliation, satisfaction, sincerity, kindness, knowledge, compassion, commitment, dedication, integrity, grace, promotion, encouragement, guidance, and ... and I could go on and on, and yet it all comes down to LOVE. Loving one another. Lifting each other up. Holding on to each other, instead of knocking each other down for what ever reason we might be able to dream up today. Hebrews 10:23-25 MSG "Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word. Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching.” Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises of God, the promises that keep us going. Let’s invent new ways to encourage ourselves and those around us. Let’s find new ways to help one another. Let’s be a part of a fellowship of believers that is focused on spurring each other on...together. Let’s find a group of people who are also seeking out the promises that keep us going, who are innovative and find new ways to encourage, love and help one another, and who spur each other on and hold each other up. Let’s get a good firm grip, letting go of the dramatic influences that the world surrounds us with, and instead, hold on to the promises of God. May we all seek more and better.
