My days recently have been a little different than I anticipated. Our grandsons unexpectedly visited with us for a few days. I lost a couple of hours of ‘down time’ in the excitement of their visit and missed a thing or three on my calendar for a couple of days. I might have missed a few things, but I was also making memories that we will always carry with us. They went home on Saturday afternoon so my plan was to spend Sunday catching up. Then my friend reached out for help, and boom! What I planned, once again turned out differently than anticipated.
Romans 8:28 NLT
“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”
Sometimes our days won’t necessarily work out quite like we expect it to work out, but nevertheless, when we are following God’s lead, our lives move in the best possible way. Our plans are not necessarily God’s plans, and we have to be ready to go with the flow from His fountain. Our days might not go as expected, but our expectations can be easily changed when we allow the Holy Spirit to make our calendar alterations as needed. God makes all things work together for good; for our good and for His good purpose.
