Cranky
Today I was cranky. I knew I was cranky. I heard myself being cranky, and I tried to stop without very much success. I apologized for being cranky on more than one occasion. If I was a toddler, I would have sent myself to bed for a nap. Being cranky is not a good attitude to have and I will admit that I was failing miserably at turning the tide on my attitude. Cranky isn’t fun, however, I did have encouragers around me and that made all the difference.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 NLT
“So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.”
Times are hard right now. Frustrations are running high and we should all remember to encourage one another. Building each other up includes affirmations; affirmations of good and bad behavior. Knowing that our attitude is bad isn’t always enough of an incentive to change it, but when we encourage one another to get our hearts back on the right track we will find that making that hard right turn isn’t as difficult as one might think.
