Fear is feeling like anything we try to do will fail; courage is doing it anyway. Fear causes our bodies to quiver and our hands to shake; courage is grabbing the bull by the horns anyway. Fear stands in our way, but God Himself is making our path straight before us.
Isaiah 41:10 NLT
“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”
Our parents hold our hands as we take our first trembling steps, as we take those first steps into kindergarten, and they even encourage us as walk into the DVM for our learners permit. They clench their teeth, stilling their own trembling and teach us to walk through life on our own two feet, all the while doing everything possible to keep us safe.
God’s own hand is holding us with just as much love, walking with us as we each take our own trembling steps through our fears. God’s own hand is grasping ours each day of our lives. We are His children and He is helping us make our best possible way through our fears and into His glorious light.
