In the Path of that Approaching Steamroller
Overwhelmed is a feeling that most of us can relate to; work, kids, money ... you name it and whatever it is, it can feel like there’s a steamroller right on our heels ready to take us out. Flat as a board and squashed by all the things that need to be done. Laundry comes to mind, as does that load of dishes piled up in the sink. The project that’s due at work that we haven’t had any time to work on it. The renewal of our license, tags or unemployment paperwork. Financial issues and money woes. School ... yikes on school right now ... that’s one situation that has some real overwhelming aspects to it right now.
James 1:5 TPT
“And if anyone longs to be wise, ask God for wisdom and he will give it! He won’t see your lack of wisdom as an opportunity to scold you over your failures but he will overwhelm your failures with his generous grace.”
‘He will overwhelm your failures with his generous grace.’ That right there! Mic drop! <smile> Being overwhelmed with grace is the best possible way to tackle our need for wisdom, and our missteps as we stumble our way through our juggling lifestyles. God’s wisdom and overwhelming grace is the best possible way to remove ourselves from the path of that approaching steamroller. Stop, pause, and take the time to talk it all over God. When we do we will find ourselves overwhelmed with all the grace and wisdom we need to make it through our day (week, hour, minute ... whatever time frame, Jesus is all we need).
