Our Busy Minds
The struggle to control our thoughts can be tough to keep in check. Our sleep schedule is affected, which affects our moods, which affects our relationships and on and on it goes. We can’t figure out what the problem is, but we know it’s there. It could be an outside influence(s) in our lives, our own internal conflicts, financial worries, health issues, difficulties with coworkers, children, parents and spouses ... the potential list of possibilities is endless.
Psalms 94:19 TPT
“Whenever my busy thoughts were out of control, the soothing comfort of your presence calmed me down and overwhelmed me with delight.”
This verse should be our first step to changing our busy thoughts for the better. The soothing comfort of the presence of the Lord calms the turmoil of our busy minds and that is what allows delight to take its place. Taking delight in the Lord means that our hearts truly find peace and fulfillment in God’s presence. Our busy minds are soothed, comforted and filled with peace.
