That’s Not Great
As I sit here tonight listening to our local school board meeting, I am just as conflicted as so many of us are. our opinions may not be the same as our neighbors or our friends and even our families. The various opinions are exactly that, they vary. It’s difficult to know what to do. Our news reports aren’t great and they too vary widely. The numbers that are being reported aren’t great and again they too vary widely. The amount of positives verses negatives aren’t great, and then we have the added impact of errors in reporting those numbers, and that’s not great either. In the midst of all of this uncertainty, we have to decide if our brick and mortar schools will be reopening this fall, all the while remembering that our children are, and always have been, our best hope for a better tomorrow.
Psalm 119:30 CJB
“I choose the way of trust; I set your rulings [before me].”
Trust is such a hard thing in our uncertain world. Trusting God is our ultimate answer. Having faith that He will lead us to the correct decision for our families is our best option (always has been and always will be). Pray. People we should be praying. Hard. Pray for our nation and it’s leaders. Pray for our President (even if he’s not your choice, he’s still the President and he needs our prayers). Pray for the federal government leaders and those who are in charge of our National Health reporting. Pray for our State Government leaders and our Department of Health officials. Pray for our local leaders. Pray for our school board members, our teachers, school staffers, our students and their families. Pray for the janitorial staff, the cafeteria workers, the bus drivers and all the other people who work within our schools. People we need to pray for our world. We have a Great Big God and He is ready to be our first line of defense against the chaos and there’s no doubt about that. Our God IS Great!
