Today something awe inspiring happened. Let me tell you a story about God's dividends and how He provides when we least expect it.
A little background to the story. My husband has always been our primary bread winner. He served our country with a distinguished military career and went on to a become a trusted partner in the business world. As the bread winner, he has always provided everything we needed financially. He has always been and continues to be gifted with a generous spirit, financially speaking.
His career has recently taken a new track into God's business as he began work in full time ministry. He is now a missionary to men's discipleship. As you might expect, budgets are being refined and strengthened. Our financial status has changed. Dramatically. Our finances have dramatically decreased from a world perspective. They have also dramatically improved from a God perspective.
Back to the story. Today my guy spent an unexpectedly large amount of money. Money that hadn't been targeted for this particular project, but today it was a necessary expenditure. Today this money was seed for a potential harvest.
A potential harvest of lost souls and a harvest of investment in God. After spending this seed money, he returned home to the awe inspiring moment. He returned to find that same amount had arrived in our mailbox today. Awe. Yep. Absolutely. We stand in Awe. God's provision is unlimited. It may arrive right away or unexpectedly, but it always arrives. Right on time.
Yep. Truth. It says so right here:
'In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.'
When you are asked to supplement a seed grant, God is certain to provide what is needed. God's intentions lean toward the harvest. Providing all that is needed to continue the harvest and even to expand on future opportunities. Unlimited dividends.
He'll provide the resources when we are able to be generous with our gifts. Yes Sir! God provision includes a dramatically improved prospectus with unlimited dividends.
2 Corinthians 9:10 NLT
"For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you."
