Event Strategies

May 24, 2017

Have you ever served at a big event. As the leader, there is so much planning and preparation involved. You write lists and make notes and change agendas. You rewrite your notes and rewrite your lists, and eventually you consolidate everything into a plan. A plan with God's purposes in mind.

When we're involved in God's work, we should be doing all that we do with excellence.  From start to finish. From catching the vision to casting the vision. From prayerful selection of coordinators to volunteer recruitment. From food preparation to paperwork. Everything done with God's Glory in mind.

The best part is that when God is in the drivers seat, you can expect exceptional results. God knows exactly what to do, when to do it and how to make it all happen. He has the right people in place, at the right time, for the right reasons, on the right day and that makes for exceptional results. It is definitely the best way to operate. Hallelujah!

Yes, you may encounter roadblocks or conflicts. Re-coordinating strategies and plans is all part of the process. Don't let the process become a discouragement or a distraction.  Faith is part of the process too. It will all come together for God's Glory.

When you serve, do it with enthusiasm, excitement and excellence.  Whether you are in charge or part of the team, remember to pray.  Pray for your leader, pray for your coordinators, pray for the the volunteers, pray for the event, pray for those who will attend and most of all thank God that you have been called to serve.  Serve willingly and well.

Colossians 3:23 NLT
"Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people."
