Knowledge Base

July 2, 2017

Today we think we know just about everything. What we don't know, we can find out. Today, we are exposed to information in a way that is unprecedented. Yesterday's nonsense is exposed and the information is corrected. Again and again. Yesterday people thought they knew all there was to know about everything too. Even as long ago as two thousand years, pretentious nonsense was being exposed. Probably longer ago than that. There has always been plenty of people who thought they knew everything about everything.

'So where can you find someone truly wise, truly educated, truly intelligent in this day and age?'

This verse is so apropos in today's climate of knowledge. We have the world's knowledge at our fingertips. The internet is home to everything we want to know. Look it up and you can find every pro and every con on anything and everything. Yes, you have to do your research, but it's there, if you're interested in finding the answer. The positives and the negatives on any given subject.

Even with all the information and perpetual bases of knowledge out there, knowing God still comes from knowing God. Getting to know Him is about a personal relationship. It's not about head knowledge or surfing the internet, comparing tables and quantitative charts. It's about knowing Him. Really connecting on a personal level. Knowing that you are loved and that you are cherished by Almighty God. Trusting in God. Our knowledge base is erected on the firm foundation of Jesus Christ.

Our God is bigger and much more powerful than anything you can find on the World Wide Web. His Omnipresence and Omnipotence beats out every www.site/available #everytime.

Day and night, night and day. God is always there. Always available. No wifi required. (Mic drop)

1 Corinthians 1: 20-21   MSG
"So where can you find someone truly wise, truly educated, truly intelligent in this day and age? Hasn’t God exposed it all as pretentious nonsense? Since the world in all its fancy wisdom never had a clue when it came to knowing God, God in his wisdom took delight in using what the world considered dumb—preaching, of all things!—to bring those who trust him into the way of salvation."
