Let's look at Esther a little bit more. Here she was, a young woman without any real knowledge of political strife. She sees her Uncle filled with anguish and wants to help him. He urges her, in her privileged position, to approach the King.
Esther was scared. Afraid and trembling she advanced into the King's presence. Haven't we all felt this way. Scared and trembling. Scared to come before God with a confession or request.
God tells us over and over that He loves us. He knows us better than we know ourselves. He lives in us and moved into us. He is our God and we are His people.
2 Corinthians 6:16 God himself put it this way: “I’ll live in them, move into them; I’ll be their God and they’ll be my people."
Awe. Yes we should be in Awe of God. We should have respect and honor for The Almighty. We should also remember that he is our Father too. He is the Mighty One who loves you. He is The Strong Tower that we can run to. He is our Abba. Father. God. A place of protection and safety. Run to Him. Even scared and trembling, run to Him.
Proverbs 18:10 MSG
"God’s name is a place of protection— good people can run there and be safe."
