It's December 31st once again. 2017 is coming to a close. We have all experienced many things this year. Achievements and setbacks, understanding and mistakes, celebrations and loss. This year, whatever it's outcome in our life, is coming to an end.
As the year comes to a close, we might be experiencing a cloud of uncertainty. We may find ourselves wandering around lost. Perhaps our successes didn't work out the way we anticipated that they would. Maybe we are in the middle of a wave of grief that is taking our breath away. Perhaps hurt feelings or anger are holding us captive. Whatever the current situation, we know, we can count on God. We know that God has given us the grace to make it through the vastness of our mourning and into His peace.
Philippians 1:2 NLT
"May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace."
Grace and peace. Grace. The free and unmerited favor of God. It's through His Grace that we make it into peace. Peace. Peace is that place we find ourselves in when we finally let God take control. When we set down all the spinning plates and rest in Him. God's plans for our life are so spectacular that we can't even imagine how much He loves us and how truly wonderful He is to us.
God has His hand upon us. God is breathing His breath into us and creating new life, right in the middle of our mess. He is singing over us and dancing over us. Rest in Him, and allow His grace to lead you right into His peace.
