My grandson came to me with a great quote this week. ‘It’s a new year and that equals a new me. I’m going to love my life. It’s a decision.’ He’s right. It is a decision. We have a choice. We can remain tethered in place by fear or we can choose to be brave enough to step into our future.
Make a move that’s out side of your comfort zone. You are bolder and braver than you think you are. If God has brought you to it, He will see you through it. All the right things are right there in front of you. We’ve heard these sayings and encouragements, but they don’t work unless we put them into action.
Isaiah 43:1-4 MSG
“But now, God’s Message, the God who made you in the first place, Jacob, the One who got you started, Israel: “Don’t be afraid, I’ve redeemed you. I’ve called your name. You’re mine. When you’re in over your head, I’ll be there with you. When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down. When you’re between a rock and a hard place, it won’t be a dead end—Because I am God , your personal God, The Holy of Israel, your Savior.”
We are all subject to the fear associated with our perception of the unknown, but our God tells us plainly that He will be there. In over your head? He’s there. Rough waters? He’s there too. Between a rock and a hard place? He’s will be there. Always there because He is our God. Our personal God. Our Savior. He will be there.
Be braver than you think you are. God’s got your back.
