There’s more to come. That small, seemingly inconsequential sentence is a promise. A reassurance of God’s provision and generosity. Trouble may come, but when we rely on God we can rest assured. There’s more when we grow, because we will grow in patience and patience grows into virtue. Virtue keeps us alert to God. Expecting and anticipating that God’s is in the midst of our situation and we are not alone. Praise God.
Romans 5:3-5 MSG
“There’s more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit!”
Praise our way through the storm. When we’ve experienced the passion and generosity of God, we will find ourselves full of His peace. As we praise God throughout a storm, He is filling us with everything we need to get to the other side. Filling us up to overflowing with His peace and purpose. Praise Him because there's more to come!
