Strong and able in the faith. That’s where we all want to be, yet sometimes life sends us a whammy. Whammies can turn our world spinning, except for the help we can depend on from our friends in the faith. Friends that we can count on to step in and right our thoughts and encourage us in the Lord. When we are able and strong, remember to reach out and encourage those who may falter. Our strength is for service to one another, to encourage and help as needed. Be the type of friend that you hope would be there for you in times of trouble.
Romans 15:1-2 MSG
“Those of us who are strong and able in the faith need to step in and lend a hand to those who falter, and not just do what is most convenient for us. Strength is for service, not status. Each one of us needs to look after the good of the people around us, asking ourselves, “How can I help?”
Friends, we are called to uplift and support one another through our tests and trials. We are called to be here for one another, to love one another, and to help look for the good in the troubles we might have to experience. Encouragement is something that we should offer to one another, through the lens of our own faith. When one is weak, the other is stronger and more able, and that my friends, is the most encouraging part of friendship.
