From tossing us high up in the air, to our delight and the horrified screams of our mothers, to teaching us all of the ways we ought to do better and be better as people.
Exodus 20:12 tells us that we should honor our father’s (and our mother’s) and in doing so we will enjoy great opportunities. Ephesians 6:2 reiterates Exodus and all the promises of our Heavenly Father. Jesus instructs us once again on the subject in Matthew., ac
Matthew 19:19 NLT
“Honor your father and mother. Love your neighbor as yourself.’ ”
Honor, in this instance, asks us to show respect to our Father. Respect for his place of authority in our lives. Our Heavenly Father asks us to respond with respect to our earthly father’s. Today, on this Father’s Day, may we honor our Dad’s with thoughts from our hearts. Tell him how, with what words, actions or attributes, your father has impacted your life. Today, on this Father's Day, somehow, in some small and special way, let your father know that he is honored and that you are thankful.
Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful Dad’s everywhere.
