Today, I helped a friend correct a problem. Sadly, something she had purchased had not come out quite as well as the box had portrayed. Most of us have been there. Something that we had planned didn’t quite turn out the way we thought it would. When my friend shared her concern, she didn’t know what to do next. I had been there before - with the very same box. The same box that didn’t turn out quite as well as anticipated.
Galatians 6:10 MSG
“Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith.”
In this instance, with a bit of finagling and finesse, the issue was corrected with very little trouble. We had to shuffle some scheduling issues, plan for a specific time, and then working together, the problem was resolved. Helping others is part of our life’s journey with God. As God leads others to us, we get to choose to be the kind of friend that is available to be there to help. Helping a friend isn’t always convenient or easy, but it is always a good thing.
