We love fruit at our house. Watermelon, grapes, bananas, tangerines, peaches, apples, pears, strawberries and my favorite blackberries. There are more fruits than that in the world, but these are at the top of our list. There are usually a few options available in our fruit basket at any given time. We also have a couple of fruit trees that are a good option whenever they are in season. Fruit is good for us and it is good to share.
Galatians 5:22-23 AMP
“But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.”
The Fruits of the Spirit are options that we should have available in our fruit baskets too. Love, joy and peace we should share in abundance. Patience takes some work to gather, yet incredibly worth the effort. Kindness and goodness are fruits that seem to go hand in hand. Faithfulness is a wonder and wonderful all at the same time. Gentleness is delicate and delicious, while self-control is usually a hard to reach fruit. Each of us has a Fruit basket of love that we can share with others every day. The Fruits of the Spirit may take effort for us to reach, yet each and every one is a very achievable goal. When we fill up our Fruit basket of love and share them with the world, we also are sharing God’s message. Share your fruit every day.
