Kids are so much fun. I mean that in the nicest way. I also mean it in the ‘I’m shaking my head at your antics’ way. They can certainly surprise you. As I was out and about this afternoon, I had a fantastic interaction with a young lady as we communicated through sign language. She was such a joy as she displayed grace and gratitude through her attitude. Arriving home, I also heard a story about some young men who were experimenting with ketchup packets and the interesting things that happen when you smash them <sigh>. All children are a gift from the Lord.
Psalms 127:3 NLT
“Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.”
Children are a gift from the Lord. They are a reward from God. We are entrusted with their care and handling by the Lord. Our children are the gifts that keep on giving. Giving us a heart attack when they eventually experience gravity and take their first tumble. Then they are off to the races. Walking, talking, running and getting into anything and everything. Experimenting with the world. They learn from us. Hopefully, they get the real deal from us, as we try to instill the values of right from wrong, good from bad and everything in between. Our gifts experiment with all of them, as we pray for them to get through the learning curve of life lessons ... and they will ... eventually. God’s gifts come in so many different forms, shapes and sizes; and one of them is child sized. Ours, theirs and the ones we come in contact with as we go through our lives. They are all gifts from God.
