I was visiting with a friend, and we were laughing, talking and sharing; about nothing, about all the important things and about all the little things in our lives. We were reminiscing about the moments we remembered together and we also shared memories from our own separate lives. We talked about moments from this week and moments from today and moments from years ago. We laughed and we encouraged and we shared life together.
Ecclesiastes 4:9 NLT
“Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed.”
Good friends are like our favorite quilt; they cover us with love and we find ourselves very comfortable together. Good friends means that laughter comes easily and flows readily. Good friends are an understanding place when we need to cry a few tears from sorrow or better yet, because we are being silly and laughing so hard we cry. Good friends fill us with encouragement when something is bothering us and they help find balance when we get out of wack. Good friends are a safe place to let go of our hurts and they help us let God enter into our healing. Good friends help us see our true ourselves and encourage us to become a better version of ourselves. Good friends cover us with encouragement, understanding, laughter and love. That’s a good thing, and it’s a God thing.
