Grace is such an amazing word. Grace carries a variety of definitions that covers so very much. Let’s talk about the definition of Grace as it speaks to movement. The graceful movements of a gifted ballet dancer gliding along with the music. The graceful movement of a bird in flight across an open sky. The wind causing the graceful movement of tree branches on a glorious day. The graceful movement of a person gliding through a crowded room. The delicate and graceful movement of a butterfly dancing from flower to flower. Grace definitely speaks to movement and the best definition of all speaks to the movement of Jesus within our lives. The Grace of Jesus is truly a movement of love that covers us for our sake, and more importantly, because of His heart for us.
Ephesians 3:18 NLT
“And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.”
God’s grace moves to meet us where we are in order to bring us into a closer relationship with Him. God’s grace means that His loving care is bestowed upon us when we really deserve the opposite reaction. ‘Grace covers a multitude of sins’ is such a revelation of God’s character and His hope for us. Wider and longer and higher and how very deep is God’s love for us. When we take a closer look at God’s gift of grace, we realize that grace isn’t as much about us and what we need, as it IS about God and HIS heart for us. Grace is the best gift we never deserved.
