Christmas is just around the corner and the festivities of gift giving is just beginning. Giving gifts to one another is so fun and it is also very involved. We put thought, and effort into our selections. We consider and discard ideas. We contemplate their likes and dislikes. We attempt to make discreet inquiries. We talk over ideas with our family and friends. It’s all about gifting them with that special something that will make them react with joy. The anticipation of their reaction can be the best part of the process, especially when they react the way we anticipated. It's even better when their enthusiasm and joy is even more than we imagined. Giving is so much fun.
Romans 6:23 NLT
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”
As we consider gifts during this season of giving, the greatest gift of all time is Jesus Christ. As we think about the people in our lives during this season, may we consider whether or not they have received the best gift possible? If they haven’t received Jesus into their lives; consider broaching the subject in the coming weeks. Start a conversation and break the ice; introduce them to Jesus because He is the very best gift anyone could ever receive.
