Our plan was to get to a particular milestone by now, and yet we aren’t where we think we should be...yet. We have list of reasons for our disparate circumstances. We should have gone right instead of left. That person is out to get us. We never should have made that decision or that choice. The boss doesn’t see our potential and more. Oh, so many more things and reasons and ... Numerous excuses, control issues, and a long list of varied and thought provoking situations that we apply to our ever changing circumstances. All of our thoughts running us around in circles. Just remember that we aren’t alone, even when we think we are running all by ourselves.

Just like us, David had his own many and varied moments of challenging circumstances. Just like us, David could also be found running; running away from Saul, out running with his friends, running while being chased by his enemies and then turning around and running into the thick of things, running towards God and then running away from God, only to run back to Him again. He was a 'man after God's own heart' and yet he wasn't always sure how things were going to turn out or how he was going to get there. Just like David, some days we are confident that God's got us right where we belong and the next day we wonder what God's really got in mind for us. Our confusion and indecisiveness is all about us. God never changes, but we certainly do.

Psalms‬ ‭33:22‬ ‭NLT‬‬
“Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone.”

Even when we don't listen, and when we get off track, and yes, even when we screw up; God’s love for us never changes. His unfailing Love always prevails over our circumstances. God’s mercy and grace always meets us right where we are. Whether we are running towards Him, or away from Him, God is there. God’s plans for us are good, and He always gets us there, eventually. Run towards God, because although eventually may take longer for some of us than others, with God on our side it is sure to be a great adventure in the meantime.
