As the school year is coming to a close there are teachers, paraprofessionals and students focused on the light. That would be the light at the end of the tunnel. Yes, it's getting brighter. Yes, it's coming closer. Yay! Summer is almost here. We all give a big sigh for those delightful days of summer. When we were kids summer lasted forever. It was from just after Memorial Day clear until the Tuesday after Labor Day. Months and months of fun. As adults, our summer gets shorter and shorter every year. The months are the same, the length of summer hasn't changed, but we definitely see things differently. Time, seasons and opportunities take on a whole new meaning. As adults, our days seem to get shorter as we try to stretch the hours until we can't find even one more minute. We can stretch those hours out so thin that we end up at the snapping point, and that’s when we can lose our focus. Our vision can become so blurred that we lose track of what’s important.
"So let’s keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us. If any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred vision—you’ll see it yet! Now that we’re on the right track, let’s stay on it."
Focus. Focus on what we can do. Focus on what we can see. Focus on what is before us. Right now. Today. Focus on the brightest light at the end of the tunnel; the light of Jesus Christ. The light of Jesus clears our blurred vision and helps us stay on track. The light of Jesus is the light that sets us apart from the darkness of the world. The light of Jesus is the light that sets us free from the inside out. The light of Jesus is the light that shows us the way we should live. Focus on the light of Jesus; His light is the brightest light and the light that keeps us on track.
