A 'flair for the dramatic' isn't an occasional saying anymore. Actions that instigate controversy and contribute to the drama are more common than we’d like to admit. It's becoming second nature to expect our 'daily dose of drama'. The dramatic comes in all forms; television, social media and even the news. The problem rests in the results of the drama, the negative words, and the rejection enacted in the world around us.
Hebrews 10:23-25 MSG
"Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word. Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching."
Let's get a grip; a firm grip on the promises of God that keep us going. Invent new ways to encourage ourselves and our fellowman. Invent new ways to help others. Become part of a fellowship of believers that is focused on spurring each other on...together. Be a part of group of people who seek out the promises that keep us going, who are innovative and find new ways to encourage, love and help one another. Be a believer who finds ways to spur ourselves and others on and holds each other up, even in the tough times. Let's all just get a grip. A good firm grip on the promises of God. The world at large may expect and even anticipate the next 'drama', but we should be seeking so much more. More and better. Seeking peace and hope and joy and happiness and contentment and comfort and health and restoration and prosperity and learning and justice and reconciliation and satisfaction and sincerity and kindness and knowledge and compassion and commitment and dedication and integrity and promotion and encouragement and ... and we could go on and on with the positive attributes of the Lord that we would all hope to demonstrate to the world. It all comes down to love. Loving one another. Lifting each other up. Holding on to each other, instead of knocking each other down for what ever reason we can dream up today. It all comes down to love.
