A New Season

April 30, 2019

The seasons in our lives are evidenced by the things that we learn and gain through the experience. We carry that season with us and it joins the next season and becomes part of all the seasons that follow. A season's timing is always perfect and perfectly planned; part of God's beautifully constructed path for each one of us. I believe that just such a season change is happening for Gathered Under Grace; a season of rest.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 AMP
"There is a season, a time appointed for everything and a time for every delight and event or purpose under heaven.”

As many of you know I have been writing Gathered Under Grace, everyday, for more than three years. Today marks the beginning of what I feel is a sabbatical; a season of rest. A sabbatical is defined as as a rest or break from work, a season of rest and restoration. Tomorrow is currently on my calendar (in ink :)) as the beginning of that season. I’m not sure exactly when I will be back, but for now Gathered Under Grace is taking a break. I don’t believe it’s the end, but only a break, although as we all know from experience, God may have other plans. I want to thank each of you for your readership and all the encouraging words that I have received over these past years. You, the readers, are one of the best parts of Gathered Under Grace; You’re a joy, I shall miss you and I thank you for all those special moments! I am heading into this season without regret and with anticipation for all that God has in store. I would like to close with these verses from Numbers‬ ‭6:24-26‬ ‭from the NLT‬‬.

“May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace."

Remember that God’s plans for us are good (even when we can’t see where the road is going), listen to the Lord and follow His directions, keep smiling, be kind to one another and love the Lord with your whole heart. Remember to walk in those unforced rhythms of Grace; it’s like walking on Son-Shine...See you on the flip side.
